Yea sad. I called Chuck as soon as it broke. I figured someone would post this. I was driving home when it came over about 20 min ago

I actually got to meet and chat with Willie while he was with the Dodgers. I remember him coming out of the clubhouse with a cigarette every night. Great guy, great player. RIP Willie.

Rest in peace 3-Dog.
I remember talking to him last year during the RBI dinner.

Willie was a lot of fun to watch. When we had he and Maury together it was great. Sorry to hear the news.

The Three Dog - I thought the band was named after Willie D.

One of the loosest players I ever saw. He was exciting to watch, but he wasn't the brightest bulb that ever got twisted in a socket. He could play some center field though. He made a couple of the greatest catches I ever saw in that 1966 World Series that got overshadowed by that 3 error game in Game 2. If the Dodgers could have scored some runs that series, he could have gone from goat to hero.

RIP 3Dog. He was the first CF I remember with the Dodgers. Great fielder indeed.

A pretty troubled guy for a chunk of his life. I hope he finds peace. He was mostly done when I started watching baseball, but I do enjoy hearing some of the stories.
