It's Time For Dodger Baseball

Hi everyone, I just wanted to devote a thread to what's going on with site changes. SO, if you have questions or comments, please leave them for me here. Things could look messy off and on for awhile. I apologize up front for it, but it's the only way to get to where we want to go. BTW, my first question to you is: Is the board more difficult to read now than when it was an all white background?

Can you tell me specifically what parts are harder to read or if it's just the whole board in general?

Other than the text on the board i told you in PM, i like how it fits the new design so far.

Some of the set text should be darker or lighter and then eliminated the colors we've used here from the color scheme so when we type it's not lost.

Hi Chuck I don't know how it happened but several of my posts have been somehow deleted, but I don't think I had anything bad as far as content. Does this have to do with the changes you have been trying to implement? Anyway, just thought it was wierd because you usually give me a notice when you delete my posts ie: the "coward" comment.

I'm unaware of any deletions for ya, mik. And, I don't believe we've lost posts due to the upgrade. If you'd pm me a description of the posts that you think are gone, I can do some checking. And if anyone else thinks posts are missing, please post here and let me know, so I can check it out.

Yeah. I like the proposed background. However, the Dodger Blue text is hard to read against the dark gray background at the top of the page (Logout, # new messages, FAQ, etc...)

I dig the Dodger Blue text against black. My latest business calculator (HP 17bII+ Silver) has Dodger Blue text on Black keys (despite the fact Hewlett Packard is located near San Francisco).

Blue on blue can be hard to read too.

Ittle hard to see as far as the view unread post at top right of page. Like the boldness of the discussion topics.

Mik, the red text isn't staying. I need to put something temporary up while I recode the text colors that ppl can read. a little.Maybe I should try black until I can get it all recoded.

OK Folks, as you can see we've put up a lot of the site modifications I've been working on. There is SO MUCH more in store for the site and the way we conduct our little ourdodgers.com organization. I can't wait to show you all. BUT, I'd like to get YOUR ideas. If you can think of anything that would be really cool, I'll consider how reasonable it is and whether or not I can implement it (learn how to do it). I can't make promises, because some of this stuff is pretty hard to do.

Also, we won't be able to use AP photos or anything like that on the site, so if you all could continue to donate your Dodger pictures to the cause, that would be great (in my best Office Space imitation). Take as many as you can at games. The high quality ones look great on the site. I'll enjoy crediting each photographer with the graphic, and I'm thinking of some other small "contributor perks" for those who help us out.
